LastPass, from LogMeIn, is one of the many solutions out there for password management and, while not the cheapest, it ranks top 5 of SafetyDetectives best 52 password management apps and – according to TechRadar – is ‘an industry leader in performance and security’.
LastPass offers much more than just password management, with features such as secure storage, not just for passwords, but also credit cards, WiFi passwords and digital notes. It also includes tools for secure password sharing and Dark Web monitoring.
With over 30 million users and 85,000 business clients, it would appear to live up to the hype and is a strong performer in both personal and business categories.
In fact, the only real criticism of LastPass would seem to be some limiting features in the free personal version but, in almost all cases, this was qualified by the recommendation to upgrade to premium.
LogMeIn is one of the world's largest SaaS companies and it seems they put all their expertise into LastPass, with best-in-class features and comprehensive security policies. The LogMeIn family includes GoToMeeting and GoToMyPC, both market leaders in their own right.
Not the cheapest and not the most expensive, reviews place LastPass at the top of its class in terms of cost, features, and security. If you’re looking for a password manager with credentials, this will be a front runner.
