In comparison to its main competitor, Azure is marginally cheaper when purchasing base on-demand services, but can be less competitive on longer-term commitments. However, one of Azure’s key attributes is that it’s a pay-as-you-go service and allows you to access more resources as and when you need it – you can get a server configured to your specification in less than 20 minutes.

As part of the wider Microsoft product suite, Azure integrates well with other Microsoft products, which can help to reduce the implementation and training costs of any comprehensive transformation project.
